Behaviour fuelled creativity
Meet me

You might've noticed we've moved from 'us' to 'me'.

Why?

Because at its heart, behav is me -
Lauren Alys Kelly.

👋 Hello there.

Let’s jump into a story. My story. Maybe, it’ll become ours too.

It started with Architecture.

Not what you were expecting!

But my real interest? It was the people inside the buildings. Their stories, their behaviours. And 3 years into my studies I swapped Architecture for Psychology.
And with that my obsession with behaviour really began.

Fast forward through the years, I was working in London, immersed in the world of FinTech and UX/Product Design.

Despite the excitement and ‘success’, something felt incomplete. A niggle, a brain bug that kept telling me something was missing.

A dinner conversation brought everything into focus. A client pointed out my tendency to start and end with psychology.

And that’s when it clicked.

My design was missing my other half.

I grabbed my sketchbook and scrawled probably the most transformative question of my life:

“How can I blend behavioural science with the fast, collaborative world of design?”

That was 10 years ago.

And it’s when my adventure in blending design with behavioural science really took flight.

What's my superpower?

Bridging worlds.

Imagine me at the intersection of design and behavioural science, translating the intricacies of one to enrich the other.

But here’s where the challenge lies: Behavioural Science is tough. It’s full of lingo, spans vast academic sectors and is constantly evolving.

My mission has been to peel away the layers of complexity around it all. Give it structure. Remove the lingo. Craft it into tools. Make it accessible. Understandable. Doable.

It wasn't just about design or psychology anymore. It was about fusing them to create something profoundly impactful.

That's why I started behav.

That's why I wrote behaviourkit.

That’s how Behaviour Thinking® came to life.

And over the years I’ve done cool stuff along the way.

Taught at 3 universities. Seeded Behavioural Design into many teams. Worked with amazing people at Accenture, PwC, Meta, Estonian Government, Fjord, D&AD and more... Facilitated tough behaviour conversations. Crafted behaviour pattern libraries. Made physical products. Hosted events. Written toolkits. Led courses.

And I’ve loved every bit of it.

So why does this benefit you?

Well, I’ve been learning in the field. Learning what works and what falls flat. I’ve refined how we talk about behaviour so people listen, figured out ways to show its value so stakeholders buy in, crafted tools so that everyone can inject some behavioural science into their work and used it to unite departments for greater impact. I've learned to see differently, ask new questions, and elevate our collective approach.

This means I can help you.

behav isn't just my consultancy. It's a space for us to collaborate, innovate, and impact - together.

Welcome to my world.

It’s all very behavioural. But it’s a lot of fun too.

Let’s create something behavioural, together.
